Micro Freeze is the environmentally-sophisticated answer for low temperature, non-destructive troubleshooting of electronic components.
Based on nonflammable HFC-134a, it meets the military standards for circuit coolers and will quickly freeze components. Micro•Freeze is safe for people and leaves no residues plus it is ozone-safe, non-toxic,
odor-free, nonconductive, plastic-safe and nonflammable. Not to be compared with the cheaper but highly flammable freeze sprays based on HFC-152b. (XYZ37)

For customers in Europe, a special version of the "freeze spray" product is available using a new, ultra-low global warming propellant. See "MicroFreezet EU" in this web site (MCC-FRZ107).

The difference is that the FRZA is anti-static. Hence the A in the part number. The primary ingredient, HFC-134A, is the same in both products.
If you look at the MSDS you will note that the FRZA has a small amount of alcohol. This provides the static protection if you were to use the FRZA on a board that had power.
This was a much bigger issue before the introduction of SMT technology and bed-of-nails testing.

Today FRZ outsells FRZA by almost 8-1. Fifteen years ago that ratio would have been reversed.

In the end they both work very well. Though the FRZA will evaporate a bit slower because of the small amount of IPA
